These Terms apply to your use of the Safe Journal mobile app. They do not replace or modify any separate terms that may apply to physical product purchases through safejournal.com.
Apple Standard EULA
Your use of Safe Journal is governed by Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement:

These additional terms also apply to your use of Safe Journal.
Eligibility
Safe Journal is not directed to children under 13. By using Safe Journal, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old or old enough to use the app under the laws that apply to you.
Your journal content
Your journal content is yours. Safe Journal does not claim ownership of your journal entries.
Free journaling stays local and account-free. Safe Journal Plus may include optional AI features, but AI only processes selected content when you explicitly use an AI feature.
Safe Journal Plus subscription
Safe Journal Plus is an optional auto-renewable subscription.
The current monthly subscription price is $6.99/month.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your Apple ID may be charged within 24 hours before renewal.
You can manage or cancel your subscription in the App Store settings.
Deleting your Safe Journal account does not cancel your Safe Journal Plus subscription or delete purchase records held by Apple or RevenueCat.
Free journaling
Free journaling is available without an account. Safe Journal Plus is optional and is not required to use the basic journaling features.
AI features
Safe Journal Plus may include optional AI features. AI features are intended to support reflection and journaling. They are not a substitute for professional medical, mental-health, legal, or crisis care.
Not a medical or therapy service
Safe Journal is a journaling and reflection tool. It is not therapy, medical care, diagnosis, treatment, or crisis support.
If you believe you may be in danger or crisis, contact emergency services or a qualified professional in your area.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the app, attempt to disrupt the service, abuse AI features, reverse engineer protected systems, or use Safe Journal for unlawful purposes.
We may suspend or limit access to Safe Journal if we believe these Terms have been violated or if needed to protect the app, other users, or our services.
Availability and changes to the app
We may update, change, pause, or discontinue parts of the app over time. We will try to keep Safe Journal reliable, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of Safe Journal after the Terms are updated means you accept the updated Terms.
Disclaimers
Safe Journal is provided “as is” and “as available,” to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your specific needs.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Safe Journal LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or loss of use arising from your use of Safe Journal.
Any limitation of liability, damages cap, exclusions, or exceptions should be reviewed by legal counsel before publishing.
Governing law and disputes
The governing law, venue, arbitration, class-action waiver, and dispute-resolution terms should be reviewed by legal counsel before publishing.
